1K has finished their Pumpkin Writing class iBook! During Guided Reading centers, students learned how to interact through the class iBook. We turned on Speak Selection in the Accessibility settings, so that students could highlight the text and listen to each other's Pumpkin stories. At the end of the iBook we added a photo gallery widget containing pictures from the Pumpkin Farm field trip. Students loved listening to each other's writing, and they quickly learned how to interact with the iBook. (These 1st grade students are a 1:1 MacBook classroom.) Please download 1K's Pumpkin Book and look out for the Thanksgiving Recipe iBook coming soon!
iBlog about teaching and learning in a 1:1 K-8 environment from my experiences as a teacher, a coach, a professional development trainer, a 1:1 Coordinator, and an administrator. The focus of this blog is teaching above the line, or at the modification & redefinition level of Dr. Ruben Puentedura's SAMR model.
